The Emerald Coast Beaches in August and September, is as the locals call it, “Our Time” on the beach. And it can be yours too.
The kids and college students are all nicely nestled back in the classrooms, broadening their horizons. For those who are NOT ruled by the school schedules, this is absolutely the best time to hit the beaches along 30A and in Destin, FL…tourists are gone and the snowbirds haven’t arrived!
The weather is still warm, sometimes downright hot and the Gulf is begging us to dive in. The Emerald Coast beaches are actually lonely, beckoning us to occupy that small space of sparkling silver to sit and relax with a book or just stare at the horizon and look for the dolphins playing in the surf.
Stroll down the unoccupied beach and collect the treasures the Gulf has offered, along the water’s edge. Maybe amble over to a restaurant for a bite to eat or drink. Look at the glorious homes and condos on the beach and dream of owning one. Or maybe, decide NOW is the time to purchase the beach residence you always wanted. It is easier to view the homes without the hustle and bustle of the season.
