Lots of fun Holiday Happenings along 30A and in Destin FL

With all the hustle and bustle of Christmas and Holiday shopping, there still are some entertaining events during this joyous season that that are great to attend along 30A aRosemary Beach Unleashednd in Destin FL.

  December 9th – 1 PM – 4PM 2nd Annual Rosemary Beach Unleashed Community Pooch Festival. Bring you Pooch to compete in a variety of competitions: children’s handling, most talented, best trick, dog fashion show and more! Music, food, dance performances, holiday market and an agility demonstration will be amongst the activities. Attendance is FREE. Will be held on St. Augustine Green. Sponsored by Sowal.com and proceeds benefit Alaqua Animal Refuge. Other festivities include: Community Pooch Festival Activities

 Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin is once again hosting the Wednesday Night Concert Series. The Schedule is: 12/12/12 – 6:00- 8:00pm & 12/19/12 – 6:00-8:00pm. Admission is free. Email: contact@baytownewharf.com and website www.baytownewharf.com. Phone: 850-267-8000.

→  Sandestin keeps us busy with all kinds of activities, including the 12 Nights of Lights. From December 1 – December 22 at 7pm there is a light show at the Events Plaza with the lights set to holiday music. The Admission is free. Website: www.sandestin.com, phone 866-912-3224

  The 24th Annual Destin Boat Parade will be held December 12th at 6:00pm. View the amazing Christmas decorations on watercrafts of all sizes. Truly a family – fun evening. View the parade from local restaurants or along the Harbor in Destin FL.

December 12th – The Destin Life Center at the Destin United Methodist Church will host “A Christmas Tale”. Times: 9 AM and 11 AM. The Sanctuary Choir, Hallalujah Singers and Players and the Alleluia Orchestra will present the choral and dramatic presentation.

  December 15th – Eden Gardens Candlelight Open House – Hours 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM. Location: 181 Eden Gardens Road, Santa Rosa Beach, FL Admission is Free. Tour the Wesley Eden Gardens Candlelight TourHouse with ladies and gents in period dress “at home” in the finely decorated home. Walk along the walks illuminated by luminary candlelight.   December 17th – 7:30 PM The Sinfonia Orchestral Holiday will be presented at the Destiny Worship Center. $37.50 will give you preferred floor seating and $25 is the fee for balcony seats. For information go to www.SinfoniaGulfCoast.org or call 850-269-7129.

   December 17th – 7:00 PM HarborWalk Christmas Musical will be an evening with Ron Adams and others celebrating Christmas music memories. For information call 850-424-0600.

  “It’s A Magical Christmas” starring Noah and Heather Well, is a two hour Christmas themed grand illusions. Intriguing and entertaining, the show is sure to keep you guessing how it was done. Held at HarborWalk.

Tickets: Adults $20. Bring an unwrapped child’s toy and receive $2 off adult ticket price. Children 5-12 – $10. Plus tax and children 4 and under are free.

*Toys and a portion of the ticket sold will benefit Children’s Home Society of Florida.

  December 18th there will be the Baytowne Holiday Lantern Parade. The Village and Abrakadoodle are presenting the first parade of paper lanterns and Abrakadoodle is offering paper lantern workshops. Register to be a part of the event at: Baytowne Wharf Holiday Lantern Parade or call 850-267-8186
